In the north of Nepal there is a perfect alternative for the giants like Mount Everest and Annapurna: Tsum Valley. While visiting this remote location you will experience original Buddhist culture and pristine mountain landscapes. Put your best foot forward and go look for the path of enlightenment.
As Jeroen visited Nepal for the first time in 2017 he was instantly impressed by what he saw. Troubled by the idea that he only experienced "touristic" Nepal he set out to experience a raw and honest version of the Himalaya in 2019. In the Manaslu Conservation Area Jeroen found what he wished for in the form of Tsum Valley, an area long closed for tourists, but therefore unaffected by western influences, and rich of authenticity and character.
In 2020 the Dutch travel magazine Columbus Travel published an 18 page reportage written by Jeroen.
